Step 2: Locate the 5 digit code of your brand’s device (TV, STRM, Cable, Satellite, DVD, VCR), and write it somewhere or remember it. You will need it in step 3. My device is TV Samsung, I found the code 12051. You can also circle the code.
Step 3: Press and hold the “device (TV, STRM, Cable, Satellite, DVD, VCR)” button. The power button will blink once and remain on.
Use the remote control’s keypad to enter the 5 digits of your device that you found in step 2 with your other hand, while you are holding down the device (TV, STRM, Cable, Satellite, DVD, VCR) button.
Step 4: After you have finished, entering the five digits code, Keep holding down the device button and look at the power button.
Is the power button shined.
If Yes, you have programmed your device.
If No, it blinked four times and turned off: You have either entered a code number that is not in the code lists or missed a step in the code entry procedure. You can try step 3 again.
Step 5: Use the universal remote control that you just programmed to turn off the device, then turn it back on by pressing the “Power” button, and check the other buttons. If they work properly.
Congratulations you are done. If they do not work, try different codes of your device’s brand since most brands have more than one code in the code list. Or try to program it with the auto search code method.

How to Program RCA RCRNO3BE Universal Remote Control to any Device with Auto Code Search
Step 1: Manually turn on your device
You need to do this first step in order for this method to work.
Step 2. : Press and hold down the” device (TV, STRM, Cable, Satellite, DVD, VCR)” button of the remote until the power button light turns on.
Use your other hand to press and hold the remote’s POWER button while you are holding down the device (TV, STRM, Cable, Satellite, DVD, VCR) button at the same time. The POWER button turns off.
Step 3. : Wait until the POWER button comes on and stays on. Then release both buttons.
Step 4. Point the remote control toward the device, then press and release the “PLAY” button. The remote control will send 10 codes to the device to check.
Watch for the following:
- If your device turns off, go to step 5.
- If your device does not turns off, Repeat step 4 to send the next 10 codes.
Note: Wait at least 5 seconds before pressing “PLAY” again.
Keep pressing “PLAY” every 5 seconds until your device turns off.
Step 5: When your device turns off, press the “REVERSE” button on the remote and wait at least 2 seconds. The remote tries the last of the previous ten codes.
Did your device turn on?
- If Yes, press the “STOP” button. Congratulations, you have programmed your device. You have done. Go to step 6.
- If No, press the “REVERSE” button again to test the next code in the batch.
Step 6: Turn on the device with the remote control, then check the other buttons of your remote control to see if they work properly.
- If the other buttons work, therefore you are done. (Congratulations)
- If they do not work, start from step 2 for a better code search.
